Love & Community

Then the king will reply to them,
"I assure you that when you have done it for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you have done it for me."

Local Mission Outreach

The Ark Park
The Ark Park, located across the street from Fremont United Methodist Church, is open to the community. There is an ADA (handicap) accessible swing, a pathway leading from the road to the play structure, a fire bowl with benches, a Gaga Pit, and play structures for toddlers.  Pets are allowed, if on a leash and we ask that you please pick up after your pet.

Feeding America Mobile Food Truck
The first Tuesday of each month, Fremont United Methodist Church hosts the Feeding America Mobile Food Truck. This is open to everyone. If you would like to volunteer to help with the food truck, please be at the church at 4:15pm. We start passing out food at 5pm.

Hand2Hand: because a hungry child hurts
Hand2Hand partners with local churches and schools to provide a backpack filled with supplemental food that bridges the gap of weekend hunger. Food sent home consists of breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner items (often sent with a simple recipe card). The program nourishes more than physical needs. It provides consistency, love and demonstrates to all within a home that people do care and ultimately that God cares.

Specific food items are collected by each Fremont church involved.  The local churches take turns to pack the backpacks on Tuesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. at Inspire (Wesleyan) Church. Each church is partnered with a Fremont school and is responsible for delivering the backpacks weekly to their school. 2019/2020 school year the FUMC is responsible for Fremont High School.

Crop Walk
Two weeks prior to the Crop Walk, there is a table set up in the narthex with information, pledge envelopes for walkers and for those who do not walk but are willing to collect donations. Let’s all be recruiters for this Church World Service program and get as many pledges as we can. We thank Pat Bennett for being the representative from our church serving on this committee.

Each month, the Mission Team selects a local or global charity to donate the loose change collected during offering.
